Korean Language Module 3

In this module, you will hear from a costume conservator from a Smithsonian Institution museum talking about one of the popular collections there. You will be able to hear her discussing stories about one of the most popular collections in the museum.

 


Meet the Speaker

Sunae Park Evans

Senior Costume Conservator
National Museum of American History
Smithsonian Institution

Sunae Park Evans is a senior costume conservator at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. She is a native Korean and received her BA and MA in Clothing and Textiles from Sookmyung Women's University in Korea. She came to the United States to continue her study in clothing and textiles and she received her MA in Clothing, Textiles, and Design from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She earned her PhD in Clothing and Textiles from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro focusing on preservation and cultural history. At the National Museum of American History, she and her colleagues provide preservation services for the long-term collections at the museum.
