浅野先生の授業をとって、一番衝撃的だったのは、コンピューターのマウスをどうとら えなおすかという質問を先生がされた時です。私にとっては、マウスは、コンピュータ ーを使うための道具というだけで、マウスと言えば、せいぜいネズミのイメージしかあ りませんでした。でも、先生は、マウスはマウスとして考えるのではなく、押すことも できるし、なでることもできるし、ノックをすることもできるというように、いろいろ な人間の動作の集合としてみることができる。そのような行為と関連づく映像を、どう 見せていったら、見る人を楽しい気分にすることが出来るか考えてみよう、とおっしゃ いました。漠然とした夢を持って、インタラクティブアート学科に入学はしていたけれ ど、メディアの消費者として、受け身的な態勢しかとっていなかった私は、ショックを うけました。それからの私は、創作活動で壁にぶつかると、いつも、この質問に戻りま す。
